No-code workflow automation

Turn changes in your table into the next action

Create automations for a selected organization and table. Choose when a workflow starts, add record conditions, and configure an action such as an in-app notification, email, field update, assignment, or approval request.

  • Organization and table scoped
  • Conditions you can review
  • Scheduled or event-driven

How it works

Configure a workflow in a few clear steps

Each automation belongs to the organization and table you select, making its scope clear before it runs.

  1. 01

    Choose the table

Select the organization table whose records should drive the workflow.

  2. 02

    Choose a trigger

Start when a record is added, when it changes, when it first meets conditions, when a date is due, or on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.

  3. 03

    Narrow the records

Add field conditions such as a status, owner, date, number, checkbox, or text value to control which records qualify.

  4. 04

    Choose one action

Send an in-app notification or email, update a field, assign the record, or request an approval. Review the summary before creating the automation.

What you can do

Useful triggers and actions, with a clear scope

Build a focused rule around one table, with an optional condition and a single configured action.

Record and condition triggers

React to new or changed records, or run when a record first satisfies the conditions you set.

Date and schedule triggers

Use a date field for reminders or run on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule in the configured time zone.

Notify the right recipient

Choose an organization member, use an email or person field from the record, or enter an email address manually where supported.

Update, assign, or request approval

Update an eligible field, assign a record to an organization member, or create an approval request for an eligible user.

A practical example

Example: route a qualifying new record

When a new record is added to a Requests table and its Priority field is “Urgent,” assign it to a selected team member and notify them. The assignment and notification are visible in the record and the automation run history.

Common questions

What to know before you get started

Can one automation perform several actions in sequence?

The current builder configures one action per automation. If a workflow needs several actions, create separate rules where their triggers and conditions fit.

Do conditions apply to existing records immediately?

A trigger determines when an automation runs. Conditions are evaluated for qualifying events or scheduled runs; enabling a workflow does not automatically rewrite every existing record.

Can an automation assign work by balancing team workload?

The current assignment action selects an organization member or writes the assignee to a person field. Automatic workload balancing is not described as a current capability.
